ARUP - Case Study 4 - London Heathrow

Heathrow Airport
London, UK

Airport master planning studies were undertaken for Heathrow as part of the UK Department for Transport (DfT) SERAS studies, which were used to inform the preparation of the UK Government's 'Airport White Paper' published in December 2003. The master plan expansion concepts were developed to accommodate annual passenger demand ranging from the current 60 million up to 200 million by the year 2030 and included new runways, terminals, ancillary facilities and surface access infrastructure and associated development able to accommodate such demand.
