Ms. Leavitt has over 30 years experience in the environmental and aviation fields. She currently works in the Aviation Industry, representing the Port of Seattle as the Director of Aviation Planning and Environmental Programs. She has worked for both the Marine and Aviation divisions. She is responsible for managing the groups that delivers comprehensive planning and environmental services for Seattle -Tacoma International Airport. She was also successful in obtaining the 401/404 permits for the controversial third runway project at SeaTac.
Before joining the Port, she was a regulator and consultant, as well as California Institute of Technology's leader of Environmental Management at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
Ms. Leavitt is currently a member and past chair of Airport's Council International-North America's Environmental Steering Committee, and is the Chair of the ACI-World Environment Standing Committee and participates in ICAO/CAEP working groups. In this capacity, she represents the interests of North American Airports globally. |
