As Executive Director/CEO of the Indianapolis Airport Authority, John Clark oversees the Indianapolis Airport Authority's facilities, which include Indianapolis International Airport, the Eagle Creek Airpark, Hendricks Co. Airport-Gordon Graham Field, Indianapolis Downtown Heliport, Metropolitan Airport, and Mount Comfort Airport. The eighth largest cargo center in the U.S., IND is home of the second-largest FedEx Express operation in the world, with more than 2.2 billion pounds of cargo managed in 2008. Indianapolis International served 7.5 million passengers with an average of 155 daily departures to 37 nonstop destinations in 2009. Before coming to Indianapolis, Clark served as Executive Director/CEO for the Jacksonville Aviation Authority. An accredited airport executive, Clark has served as a board member for the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE). Past chair of the 2009 Airports Council International-NA (ACI-NA) Board of Directors, Clark is a member of the ACI World Governing Board.
