Larry Cox, President/CEO Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority has enjoyed 37 distinguished years at Memphis International Airport after earning BBA/ MBA degrees from University of Memphis and service in the U.S. Air Force.
Past Chair of American Association of Airport Executives, he maintains an active role addressing industry challenges, testifying before Congress and providing vital policy recommendations.
He served on the Board of Directors, Airports Council International, is Past President of Southeast Chapter, American Association of Airport Executives, & of Tennessee Association of Air Carrier Airports.
Larry received FAA's 1996 Kitty Hawk Award and A.A.A.E.'s 2001 Distinguished Service Award. In 2004 he received the coveted FedEx Bravo Zulu Award and was named by Memphis Business Journal as a Top 25 Most Influential People in Memphis. In 2005, Larry was inducted into the Tennessee Aviation Hall of Fame.
He is at the forefront of Memphis' transformation into America's Aerotropolis, serving on its Aerotropolis Steering Committee.
