Chicago Department of Aviation Commissioner (CDA) Rosemarie S. Andolino is responsible for the management and operation of one of the world's largest and busiest airport systems, comprised of O'Hare International Airport (ORD) and Midway International Airport (MDW). Together, O'Hare and Midway generate nearly $45 billion in economic activity and 540,000 jobs for the City, region and state. In addition, Commissioner Andolino is charged with implementing the O'Hare Modernization Program (OMP), Mayor Richard M. Daley's vision to transform O'Hare into a 21st Century airport by reducing delays and increasing capacity well into the future.
Commissioner Andolino is focused on ensuring safe and efficient travel at both airports, while providing a positive customer experience in an environment that reflects Chicago's rich, diverse and unique cultural heritage. Andolino is also committed to enhancing the airports' traveler assistance and awareness programs and incorporating more eco-friendly practices into the airports' daily operations and concessions programs.
