IAEDS, the International Aviation-based Economic Development Summit, will be taking place in Shuangliu, Chengdu, China on October 22-24th, 2010. Speakers will include capital executive officials as well as directors of major world airports, airport cities, aviation companties and partners in related fields.

Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport (CTU)
Located in Shuangliu county and serving the City of Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province, CTU handled 22.6 million passengers in 2009, making it the sixth busiest airport in China and the top gateway in the country's western region. CTU currently ranks sixth in terms of passengers, cargo traffic volume and the number of aircraft movements. In 2010 passenger numbers are projected to rise to 26 million making CTU the fourth busiest airport in China.The airport lies at the centre of an integrated, quadri-modal transportation hub featuring air, rail, road and sea links and is an integral part of the Chengdu Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone.
