Hong Kong Jade Investment Company Ltd has signed a land contract with the Xiamen City Housing Authority to build a 50,000-tonne large-scale refrigerated storage plant in the newly-planned airport logistics park, according to the Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport.

The land parcel, located in the centre of the park, covers an area of 136,400sqm. It is the largest logistics site in the park. The first phase of the project includes a public bonded warehouse for aircraft materials and a refrigerated storage with a capacity of 5,000 tonnes.

The project will start construction in October and is scheduled to be completed by mid-2012.
