Frankfurt, Manchester, Vienna and Munich are among the airports showcasing their airport city plans and developments at MIPIM 2011, one of the biggest property shows in Europe this week.
Fraport, the operator of Frankfurt Airport, will be sending a three-person team to the real estate gathering in Cannes to highlight the expansion of its CargoCity South, its growing Gateway Gardens office complex and the almost completed combined intermodal and office space - The Squaire.
A 45-strong group of businesses from across Manchester that includes Arup, Argent, the Co-operative Estates and MAG Developments, the property and development arm of Manchester Airport will be flying to the event in style aboard a specially chartered 'Manchester' branded Jet2 737.
"We know from previous years that significant demand exists for this service, as MIPIM is a vital opportunity for securing future investment in the property sector for Greater Manchester," said John Atkins, Managing Director of MAG Developments.
Czech airport Brno-Tuřany, Helsinki Vantaa and Bourget airports will also be attending and a team from the Nizhny Novgorod region will be highlighting the economic potential of their newly modernised international airport.
Other delegates at MIPIM include Gatelands, a developer planning to build 100,000sqm business park adjacent to the new Berlin Brandenburg International Airport.
The event runs from March 8 to 11.
