The latest hotel to open at Frankfurt Airport seems to be a hit with passengers after it recorded an occupancy high of nearly 70% just three months after opening.
Carola Hildebrandt, director of Sales and Marketing at the Park Inn, which is a part of the international Rezidor Hotel Group, said it had experienced "an amazing September" with customer throughput double the 35-40% predicted on its opening in July.
"Our customers often business people typically stay one night before leaving early, they like the accessibility the hotel offers, with links to the ICE T train and flights through the airport," adds Hilderbrandt.
The Park Inn Frankfurt Airport, located at the heart of the Gateway Gardens Business Park, boasts 209 luxury rooms, restaurant, bar and fitness centre and is designed around the needs of the business traveller.
Aimed at the mid market, the Park Inn offers regular shuttle services to Frankfurt's terminals 1 and 2. The Rezidor Group, which owns the Radisson and Regent brands, opened new properties in Dubai and Kazan recently and Hildrebrandt says there is 'a lot of potential" for greater expansion.
March 2011 will see two new Hilton hotels open within Frankfurt's recently unveiled rail centre - The Squaire. Taking advantage of Frankfurt's excellent road, rail and air connections, Hilton Frankfurt Airport and Hilton Garden Inn Frankfurt Airport will open side by side and offer customers luxury facilities, not least a ballroom for up to 578 guests, eight meeting and board rooms, swimming pool, resturants and bars.
