Dubai World Central (DWC), a 140-square kilometre mega aerotropolis currently under development in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is showcasing its soon-to-be-opened Office Park at this year's Cityscape Dubai 2010 show.
Two of the buildings making up the 200,000sqm Office Park are expected to open this year with the facility centred within a free trade zone and home to thousands of professionals from the logistics, aviation and general trading sectors.
"Dubai World Central is fast becoming a location of choice for international players in the regional and international logistics and transport sector," Khalifa Al Zaffin, executive chairman, Dubai World Central said in a statement.
"We are pleased to showcase our Office Park, which complements our aviation and logistics services, further adding to the ease of doing business through DWC and Dubai. At DWC, we remain committed to creating opportunities to enhance trade and commerce through connectivity and fast cycle logistics," he added.
At the heart of DWC is the Al Maktoum International Airport, a new hub which began cargo operations in July and once fully operational will have a capacity in the region of 150 million passengers per year.
Consisting of six major components; Dubai Logistics City, Dubai Exhibition City, Dubai Aviation City, DWC-Al Maktoum International, Commercial City and Residential City, along with a new golf course resort, DWC will be the biggest aerotropolis in the world when it opens in 2017.
Now in its ninth year, Cityscape Global attracts regional and international investors, property developers, government and development authorities, leading architects, designers, consultants and professionals involved in the property industry.
