A new 218-room, Radisson Blu Hotel, has been topped out at the UK's East Midlands Airport.
The €24.8 million, five storey development comes equipped with eight executive suites, a restaurant, bar and leisure facilties and has been recognised for its eco-friendly construction through the award of 'Excellent' rating by The Environmental Assessment Method for Buildings Around the World (BREEAM).
The Azure Property Group - which will operate the hotel under The Rezidor Hotel Group's Radisson Blu brand, also agreed a deal with MAG Developments to take 1500sqft of office space at Pegasus Business Park for back of house functions, plus recruitment and training.
David Roberts, property development director at MAG Development, the property arm of airport operator The Manchester Airports Group (MAG), said at the topping out ceremony: "This project to deliver one of the UK's greenest commercial hotel developments is a huge step forward both for passengers and for the airport itself as a business destination."
