Logistics company Kuehne + Nagel has appointed Yngve Ruud as its new regional manager for North West Europe.

Taking up his role on 1 October, Ruud will succeed Tim Scharwath, who will become a member of Kuehne + Nagel International's management board from the beginning of September.

Ruud has built up Kuehne + Nagel's Norwegian arm over the last 16 years.

Reinhard Lange, CEO of Kuehne + Nagel International, said: "We are very pleased to announce an internal candidate as our new regional manager of North West Europe.

Kuehne + Nagel's North West European network spans 120 locations in six countries including Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Norway, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
