More than 600 delegates from around the world have descended on Memphis for the 2011 Airport Cities World Conference and Exhibition to hear the latest news on airport city and aerotropolis developments.
Keynote speakers from the first day of the conference included Richard Anderson, CEO of Delta Air Lines , congressman Steve Cohen, who has introduced two aerotropolis bills to congress and the CEO and chairman of FedEx, Frederick Smith.
Delegates also heard about the exciting developments being planned or underway in Shanghai, Taiwan Taoyuan, India and at Denver and Indianapolis in the US.
They were then whisked off to the second most visited house in the US, Graceland, the home of Elvis Presley, for a Gala Dinner that boasted plenty of Southern hospitality.
