Work has begun on a new 800,000sqft cargo centre at Miami International Airport.

Centurion Air Cargo - part of the Aerolog Group and one of the largest carriers of perishable goods between North, Central and South America - has officially kicked off construction of its new global headquarters and cargo centre at MIA.
The new cargo centre will house an international shipping and receiving hub that features dry and refrigerated warehouse areas and an exclusive ramp with space to park up to eight wide-body aircrafts such as the Boeing 747.
According to MIA, the expansion will also add 200 jobs and $123 million of capital investment to the local economy.
Aeroterm and Bristol Group, have partnered with the Aerolog Group to develop and fund the cargo centre, which is due to open in 2012.
