Hamburg-based investment company Union Investment Real Estate has acquired a new office building at Düsseldorf Airport City.

The company has bought the 'Airport Gardens' complex from Strabag Real Estate for an undisclosed price for its open-ended real estate fund Unilmmo: Deutschland.
The multi-tenant office building offers around 14,360sqm of rental space, of which 77% is currently let to companies including Mercer Deutschland, Mercuri Urval, IKK Classic and PrivatAir, most of whom have long term leases with an average duration of nine years.
The six-storey building is centrally located within the Düsseldorf Airport City, within walking distance of the terminals, and its 324 parking spaces.
Frank Billand, board member at Union Investment Real Estate, said: "Our investment will appeal to companies seeking to expand in the Düsseldorf airport area."
