The Shenzhen Airport Bonded Logistics Centre has passed assessment by Central Government agencies and will open soon.

According to the Momberger newsletter, the first phase of this key logistics project is located at Shenzhen Airport Logistics Park and occupies 115 000sqm. Vice Mayor Chen Yingchun said the $44 million bonded logistic centre will play a strategic role in the development of Shenzhen Airport.

Once completed, the centre will be able to handle an estimated 2 million tonnes of cargo a year and quick cross-border customs clearance will enhance the competitiveness of the Shenzhen and Hong Kong airports.
