Brisbane Airport will choose between three parties - ARM/Arkhefield, Grimshaw/AEOCM/PWC/Tract, and Shane Thompson Architects/Wilkinson Eyre/Lat27 - to decide who will design its property master plan.

One of these teams will be awarded the contract in August, after completing a six-week detailed design phase, which starts today (10 June).
The winning team will develop a detailed property master plan for the airport's 1,000 hectares of developable land. This will complement the existing Brisbane Airport 2009 master plan, and will meet the needs of the existing and future property markets.
Julieanne Alroe, CEO of Brisbane Airport, said 29 high-quality submissions were received from across Australia. "We received a large number of submissions, with strong representation from local firms, while others partnered with large international firms to provide depth to their submissions.
"The competition has attracted incredible talent, who are offering more than just good design," she added.
Alroe said the Brisbane Airport design is intended to encourage a partnered approach to future airport design, with input from local and state government, as well as Brisbane's most well respected architects, town planners and urban designers.
She added: "The submissions are supported by expertise in planning, commercial development and transport infrastructure, ensuring the competition will provide exciting outcomes for Brisbane Airport and its surrounding region."
